Sydney's visual arts scene set to unite

This March will see a rare and wonderful event happen in Sydney - the amicable coming together of the each of the different elements of the visual arts scene to celebrate all that is good and great about art in this city.

The unifying force is Art Month Sydney 2010 which will see more than 60 commercial art galleries and artist run spaces combine forces with artists, collectors and major arts institutions to celebrate the vibrancy of the visual arts in Sydney.

Throughout the city galleries will host talks, lectures and insights into the world of art. A dynamic schedule of free events will be open to everyone. The aim? To help demystify and excite local residents about the opportunities in Sydney to enjoy, collect and engage with the work of visual artists.

Each week in March will see a different gallery precinct will be highlighted with a series of tours and pop-up Art Bars.
